Tomorrow is Field Day at SCA. Students will be at Broadway Park in the morning and afternoon for activities. It is likely that students will get wet during some of the activities, so we recommend bringing additional clothes and a towel.
A reminder that Thursday is the last day of school and dismissal will take place at noon.

As we near the end of the school year, here are a few important announcements.
Please see the attached Spring Spirit Week Flyer. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in daily events this week.
SCA students have been learning through their Project Aware lessons how to be resilient. As part of this teaching, SCA will be going to see the The Super Mario Brothers Movie tomorrow. Students will depart at 11:30 and return around 2:00. Please do not send money with students as the concession stand will not be open. Students will be provided with popcorn and a fountain drink as that has been prearranged.
There is no school next Monday, May 29th.

Aanii 4th and 5th Grade Families,
The 4th and 5th grade students will depart for the Belle Isle Fieldtrip at 8:00 am on Friday, May 19th. Permission slips were sent home with students and must be returned in order for students to attend. Students are expected to arrive back at the school around 5:00 and must be picked up.

This is a reminder that tomorrow will be a half day for students due to staff professional development in the afternoon. Students will be dismissed at noon. Students that go to the gym after school will need to be picked up.

This is a reminder that SCA students will be leaving for Dow Diamond to watch the Great Lakes Loons around 8:30 tomorrow morning. We are encouraging students to dress warmly and be prepared for the possibility of rain. If we do not have the permission slip back, we ask that students stay home and their absence will be excused. Students are asked to not bring money and to not bring any unnecessary items. We anticipate students arriving back to SCA around 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.

We have been notified that the building will not have water for a period of time after school today. Therefore there will be no after school program and students will go home on the bus.

Report cards for the 3rd quarter were mailed out yesterday, so please look for them to arrive within the coming days.
In addition, SCA students will be attending the Loons game at Dow Diamond in Midland on May 2nd. Permission slips will be sent home and we need those returned with a signature by May 1st.

Here are a couple of important announcements for next week.
Due to staff professional development, there will be no school for students on Wednesday, April 19th.
Also, we will be short a bus driver this afternoon and all next week, so pickup and drop off will likely be delayed.

There will be no school for students next Wednesday, April 19th. The SCA staff will be attending a professional development workshop at Belle Isle. 4th and 5th grade students will have a field trip to Belle Isle in May. Our goal is to help indigenize the area and prepare our students for the field trip
